What We Stand For
1. A wage that is fair and reflects both what is asked of us and what we bring to the company.
Picturehouse is us. Our flexibility, creativity, and individual skillsets should not be taken for granted. It is right that our labour is fairly compensated. It is right that our pay takes into account the high cost of living in locations across the UK.
We aim to renegotiate the contracts of Picturehouse staff so that they are more competitive and more in line with the cost of living.
2. Equal pay for equal work.
For equal work, staff should receive equal pay and benefits. We will fight to protect and improve conditions and pay for staff at all levels.
3. Transparency.
An attitude of cooperation, openness, and good faith discussion is vital. This is not a zero-sum game of winners and losers. We want Picturehouse to work for us but we also want to work for Picturehouse! We will work to keep the lines of communication between management and the staff 'on the ground' open and on good terms.
4. For us and by us.
reForum is run by and for us. We will strive to operate in a way that is fair, democratic, and driven wholly by the concerns of our members. All members are encouraged to get involved with organising, holding us to account, and making reForum better for us all.
